Actress Nicole Sullivan, known by many for her years on MADtv, may be having fun as the star on Lifetime’s Rita Rocks, but what is she really mad about these days? Her 20-month-old son, Dashel.
Here she shares with The Cradle Crush some of her favorite mom and baby products that she thinks are truly crushworthy…
Little Giraffe Blanket - The blue blankets. I loved them when he was a baby. It basically was for me because I loved the way they felt when I held them. And now he loves them. When he sees them, he says “night, night”. He wants to lay down with it and cuddle.

Little Stork Bags – These bags are great! They are gift bags for expectant mothers. My feet got so fat… literally you’ve never seen anything like my feet. I couldn’t get my Crocs or Uggs on because my feet were so thick. I couldn’t even wear flip-flops because they wouldn’t squeeze in. The only thing I could wear was a slipper, and the Little Stork Bag has great slippers… they’re the best. I broke them open early so I could wear them – I wore them every day for 2 1/2 months before I gave birth!
White Noise Machine (and black out fabric) – This is the thing I rely on more than anything. We put that on when he sleeps, as well as black out fabric for the window, so now it is midnight in his room any time of day. I staple-gunned it to his window and now his naps have gotten so much better. It’s great.
Starfall.com – This is like crack to him… he’s addicted. It’s awesome. Dash is 20 months old and knows all the letters of the alphabet. He points them out on stores… and it’s all because of Starfall.com. It’s really rockin’.
Read more about Nicole and her refreshing take on everything from pregnancy weight gain to dealing with the paparazzi.

Greeno Bambino, me gusta mucho. (In other words… me likey.)
Anything that marries earth-friendly and kid-friendly items together, and does it in a cute way, gets my vote.
Newly launched in December, this online store is all about providing a selection of thoughtfully selected, toxin-free, and all-natural items for your little ones.
Right now they mostly offer toys, lotions & potions, and feeding items, but in the next couple of months they’ll continue to add clothing, bibs, diapers, mattresses and all other kinds of baby necessities.
So, if your resolution is to go a little bit more “green” in 2009, why not start shopping here.

Who knew bamboo could be so soft?
Kicky Pants is doing it right. Their line of Bamboo Basics is so scrumptious, adorable and eco-friendly – what’s not to love?!
A friend gave me their Bamboo Dress when my daughter was born, and now I put her in it every chance I get. (Paired with some funky tights from Hanna Andersson, it’s been the look of our winter season.)
This winter they introduced their Bamboo Knit items, and trust me these pieces are dreamy to the touch. You’ve got to feel it to believe it.
Your little ones will love kicking back in these clothes.

Someone recently gave me one of these Baby Jade blankets as a gift to my daughter and I have to say… they are delicious.
Super soft… super cozy… super crushing!
They come in a variety of sizes from a security blanket to, yes, even a large one for mom and dad to get cozy under (it’s ideal during those late night feedings).
What I like about these blankets is that you can mix and match from their large selection of fabric choices, and create your own combination for each side of your blanket.
And the icing on the cake for me is how they’re packaged: They come in jade-colored organza bags with a piece of jade jewelry. Mine came with a beautiful jade heart on a red string that also serves as a fun object for my daughter to play with while feeding.
Get a few – your baby will probably fall in love with one of these and it could become her “lovey” for a long, long time!
Cradle note: Cradle readers can receive a 10% discount on the security and small sized blankets, and a 15% discount on the medium and large sizes. After you place your order, send an email to info@babyjadeusa.com with the subject “Cradle Client” along with your order info, and the discount will be charged back to your credit card.
