Celebrity Interview: Actress Nicole Sullivan

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

Actress Nicole Sullivan, known by many for her years on MADtv, may be having fun as the star on Lifetime’s Rita Rocks, but what is she really mad about these days? Her 20-month-old son, Dashel.

Here she shares with The Cradle Crush some of her favorite mom and baby products that she thinks are truly crushworthy…

Little Giraffe Blanket - The blue blankets. I loved them when he was a baby. It basically was for me because I loved the way they felt when I held them. And now he loves them. When he sees them, he says “night, night”. He wants to lay down with it and cuddle.

Little Stork Bags – These bags are great! They are gift bags for expectant mothers. My feet got so fat… literally you’ve never seen anything like my feet. I couldn’t get my Crocs or Uggs on because my feet were so thick. I couldn’t even wear flip-flops because they wouldn’t squeeze in. The only thing I could wear was a slipper, and the Little Stork Bag has great slippers… they’re the best. I broke them open early so I could wear them – I wore them every day for 2 1/2 months before I gave birth!

White Noise Machine (and black out fabric) – This is the thing I rely on more than anything. We put that on when he sleeps, as well as black out fabric for the window, so now it is midnight in his room any time of day. I staple-gunned it to his window and now his naps have gotten so much better. It’s great.

Starfall.com – This is like crack to him… he’s addicted. It’s awesome. Dash is 20 months old and knows all the letters of the alphabet. He points them out on stores… and it’s all because of Starfall.com. It’s really rockin’.

Look What the Little Stork Brought

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

I can’t stop raving about the Little Stork Delivery Bags!

I admit that with my first pregnancy, my husband and I went to the hospital with a gigantic piece of luggage packed with everything we could possibly need and more. The nurses teased us, wondering if we thought we were going on a two-week trip. It was a little embarrassing.

But with baby #2, the only thing I brought to the hospital was my huge belly, my husband, and a Little Stork bag.

Goodies in this pre-packed bag include items for the birth experience (massage oil, lip balm, camera), for Mom’s stay (nightgown robe set, slippers, mouthwash), a toiletry bag for Dad’s stay, a cute going home outfit and blanket for Baby, and things for breastfeeding (nursing bra, nipple cream). So fabulous! Note: All the body products and fabrics are organic.

Really, these bags have it down to a science, not to mention that they’re a perfect shower gift. For an organized Virgo like me, this is a slice of nirvana.
