Everyone’s jumping on the bandwagon these days and labeling their products “green,” “organic,” “eco-friendly”, and “healthy.”

The problem is, there’s a lot of confusion about what’s what, and the terms tend to get used interchangeably. Our customers tell me all the time that with so many terms and standards, it’s easy to get confused – and I agree!

Of course, a new baby means new expenses. But they don’t all have to break the bank.

Here are some solutions to keep your spirits up… even when the economy is down:

Stick to the Basics. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Literally… the small stuff. Your baby is going to grow out of those newborn clothes so quickly, plus they’ll mostly be lounging around the house in a onesie or swaddling blanket. So don’t buy too many clothes for the first few months.

Send an e-card Announcement. Forgo the stamps and paper and announce your baby’s birth with an e-card. Not only do you save on time, energy and money, you’re saving a tree. Very eco-conscious! {Check out The Cradle’s e-card announcements}

Stock Up on Sales. Think ahead and buy clothes at the end of each season when clothes go on sale. Buy 1-3 years in advance and store away until your child grows into each size. January and July are big sale months.
